Here's to all you Longhorns out there!

I admit it. I am a football junkie. Every Saturday my schedule is cleared so I can enjoy my favorite football team play. The last 5 years have been a lot of fun but this year my team is having some trouble. It started off last January during the national championship. The most entertaining part of the game wasn't even during the game. It was during the halftime show watching that no-talent Ashley Simpson get boo-ed.

This year, we're young and inexperienced. We lost most of our starters to the NFL last spring. Some ignorant fans are actually calling for our head coach's job, as if we could ever get a coach better than him (we can't because there's not one!).

So the big showdown with UT-Austin is coming up in 1 1/2 weeks. They haven't beat us since 1999. They will beat us this year but the nice thing about it is, they can't get any satisfaction from ruining our season, it's already done. It's the truth. Our season is pretty much shot since it's a rebuilding season. I'm okay with that because next year, we are going to be national championship contenders, and we will rise again and beat Texas.

I'm going to finish out the season watching every game to the final second, cheering my favorite team on. I'll even be a good sport and cheer on Texas when they play USC in the Rose Bowl. Mac Brown, this is the year your fans have been waiting for. Do us all a favor and run up the score on USC!!!
