If anyone was ever confused about why Ford is having financial problems, let me help you understand. My new car was in a very minor but unfortunate altercation with a certain GMC Yukon. While having it fixed, I've had the luxury of renting a white lawnmower disguised as a Ford Focus. The car is a complete piece of garbage and I think all it would take to total the car (and me!!) would be to hit a curb. Call me a snob, but I thought all cars these days came with door lock remotes. I think the last time I had to manually unlock a car door was when I drove a big brown 1983 Buick Regal in high school! On the interstate the other day I was trying to merge into traffic and almost got hit by an 18 wheeler after I floored the gas and...voila!....nothing happened. I can't believe Ford would mass produce a car as horrible as the Focus. I can't believe somebody would actually buy one. You could take the same money and buy a good used Honda or Toyota and rest assured that the car would run better, be much safer, and have neat features like...oh I don't know....a door lock remote!! Sadly, my love affair with the Ford Focus will end tomorrow when I get my real car back. ~sniff~

Oh wow, I haven't blogged in a long time. My computer was away from me getting "fixed" but $200 later, it's not fixed. Actually, the guy said I should just buy a new computer. My next computer will be a Mac. My current one, a Dell laptop, has caused me more problems in the 3 years I've had it than any computer I've ever had. Part of it is due to Microsoft software problems, but I have had to replace the hard drive and it's sounding like it needs to be replaced again. I'm considering the new iMac or the Mac Mini. Both look pretty neat in their own way. I've never owned a Mac. To me, it feels like a big step, like the time I changed my political party.

I am now finished with residency interviews and last night I certified my rank list on the NRMP website. What a relief to have that behind me. Now comes the 2 month wait before I find out where I match.

While on the lonely interview trail, alone in my hotel room, I started watching The Bachelor. I only watched it last week because I was in a strange city, had heard funny things about the crazy female doctor who got dumped on the season premiere, and quite frankly..had nothing better to do. I've decided I don't like any of those girls. They are all so catty and back stabbing. Maybe it's just the way everything gets edited, but honestly, they are all a bunch of bitches. The only one I find halfway tolerable is Moana, and it's only because so far she hasn't gossiped about all the girls behind their back (that we know of). She also has a very healthy attitude about the whole thing. If it works out, great. If it doesn't, that's okay too. I mean, how well do ANY of these girls really know this guy, and they are all just throwing themselves all over him. These girls are all googlie because 1. he's a doctor 2. he's hot. Quite frankly, I think he's boring and not exactly the most dynamic guy I've ever seen on TV. Every time he speaks he sounds like a bad actor.

I am ashamed to admit that I did watch it again tonight, much to my boyfriend's chagrin. I think I like making fun of the mean girls.
